Today, social media has become a large and popular phenomenon. It is a great tool to expand one’s network, find potential cooperation partners and share knowledge on urban topics. For the EUKN too, social media has rapidly grown in importance. With 4,000+ LinkedIn members, 550+ Twitter followers and 1,400+ Facebook likes, our community is steadily growing.
In light of this, our intern Martijn has launched his social media survey on social media usage and online interaction for his bachelor thesis. The topic to this research is social media ‘engagement’. This term indicates a (repeated) interaction online interaction between an organisation and someone in the network. This is becoming an increasingly important factor in creating, establishing and keeping a good relationship with followers, customers and other stakeholders.
