Agreed final draft of the New Urban Agenda is now available
The Habitat III Conference draws closer once again with the 'Agreed Final Draft' of the Habitat III New Urban Agenda. The Final Draft is the follow-up of the Zero Draft that was adopted at the Surabaya Prepcom in August. The New Urban Agenda has finally been agreed on at the Habitat III Informal Intergovernmental Meeting which took place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York from 7 to 10 September 2016. During the final negotiations, several issues and discussion points from the Surabayar draft were ironed out, resulting in a now 24-pager document. The New Urban Agenda will be officialy adopted in Quito, Ecuador, next month.
The Final Draft is available here.
In case you haven't registred yet for Habitat III, registration is still open! Don't forget, the EUKN organises a side-event during the Habitat III Conference on the links between the New Urban Agenda and the Urban Agenda for the EU.
