EUKN #EURegionsWeek Side Event: Urban Agenda for the EU Partnerships in the Spotlight
Official side event of the 2020 #EURegionsWeek organised on behalf of the Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations
The Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations and the European Urban Knowledge Network (EUKN) EGTC in cooperation with the URBAN Intergroup in the European Parliament held a Policy Lab focused on the Urban Agenda for the EU (UAEU) Partnerships, their concrete results, key messages, and multi-level working method on Tuesday, 13 October 2020.
The event achieved its central objectives to promote the UAEU Partnerships’ achievements among a broader audience, and foster an action-oriented exchange with relevant institutions and stakeholders. Among other things, we learned about the key role of cities in the EU Green Deal, how to implement and build on the work of the UAEU partnerships, and the need to tackle urban issues in an integrated and cross-cutting way.
The event was an official side event of the 2020 European Week of Regions and Cities (#EURegionsWeek) and contributed to all three #EURegionsWeek thematic priorities – Empowering Citizens, Cohesion and Cooperation, and Green Europe.
The event was held via Zoom and live-streamed on our Facebook page.
