EUKN joins the European Regions for Smart Communities Summit
The European Regions for Smart Communities summit, under Portuguese Presidency of European Union, will be held in Évora (Alentejo, Portugal) and online, between 3 and 9 of May, 2021.
In accordance with the Presidency's vision and priorities, the Summit is organised to celebrate the success and achievements of Smart Communities, and strenghen cooperation across Europe. It will gather local and regional leaders to discuss on how to involve citizens and stakeholders in co-promoting smarter small cities, towns, villages and regions for a better tomorrow. The agenda includes technical and thematic sessions, projects' meetings and networking, artistic performances, social/cultural time, visits in Alentejo Region as well as a celebration of the Day of Europe. EUKN's Director, Mart Grisel, will participate as a speaker of the Strategy Session, to be held on the 5th of May between 13:00 - 18:00 (Online). Moreover, among the long list of experts contributing to the debate is Tilman Buchholz, who will be speaking on behalf of Germany (member of the EUKN).
The Summit is organised by H2020-AURORAL project led by CCDR Alentejo, with the support from Alentejo Europe Initiative, ADRAL - Regional Development Agency of Alentejo and IrRADIARE Science for Evolution.
