This webinar, jointly organised with the French National Agency for Territorial Cohesion (ANCT), will take place on 26 January 2021. Focusing on the global impact and local effects of mega-trends on port cities, the webinar for France is part of the EUKN ‘Thinking Beyond the Crisis’ series.

The webinar will offer a learning platform to share experiences and reflect on the changing role of port cities as a result of global mega-trends and their local effects, including the recent yet far-reaching impacts of COVID-19. It will facilitate knowledge sharing on both global and local challenges and strategies of port cities towards a more sustainable future, in socioeconomic and environmental terms. Presentations by port city representatives from Le Havre, Rotterdam, Incheon, and Hamburg, will be followed by European and international experts’ commentaries, and Q&A sessions with participants.

The goal will be to generate evidence on territorial impacts and their consequences for the sustainable development of ports, port cities ant their hinterlands.
