Join the 14th Federal Congress on National Urban Development Policy (3-4 May 2021)
The 14th Federal Congress on National Urban Development Policy will be hosted by Germany from 3 to 4 May 2021.
The Congress will discuss current urban development policy and promote joint, sustainable and integrated urban and rural development at national and European levels. This year, the focus of the event will be the 50th anniversary of the German Urban Development Support programme.
As part of this Congress, EUKN Director Mart Grisel will moderate the European Arena on ‘Implementing the New Leipzig Charter in Europe: From Cohesion Policy to the Urban Agenda for the EU’ next Monday, 3 May 2021, 14:15-15:50 CEST.
In this session, speakers from EUKN members Germany, Spain, Poland, and Portugal will discuss the contribution of the EU Structural Funds to the purpose of the New Leipzig Charter and will explore the future of the Urban Agenda for the EU. Moreover, Poland's and Spain's National Urban Development Policies will be presented, providing insights into their role in implementing the goals of the New Leipzig Charter.
