Main results of the Spanish Presidency on urban development. Toledo Declaration.
The main activities of the Spanish Presidency in relation to urban issues were: A High Level Conference on Urban Sustainability and Integrated Urban Regeneration in Europe (26-27 April 2010) and the Informal Ministerial Meeting on Housing and Urban Development (21 and 22 June), with the focus on “integrated urban regeneration”, with the participation of the 27 EU Member States and candidate states plus Norway and Switzerland, EU Institutions (including Commissioner of Regional Policy, European Parliament, European Investment Bank, etc) and relevant European stakeholders.

And the main output of the Informal Ministerial Meeting on Urban Development was the approval of the “Toledo Declaration”. Besides, among the different contributions could be underlined the Opinions on “integrated urban regeneration” from the Committee of the Regions and from the EESC-European Economic and Social Committee.
