Second Policy Lab Webinar for Slovenia: Unravelling the Green Actions of the Urban Agenda for the EU
The second EUKN webinar for Slovenia, taking place on 3 November 2020, will explore how the Urban Agenda for the EU (UAEU) process, in particular the work of the partnerships, could be concretely harvested to further environmental sustainability in Europe’s cities. It will build on the first webinar, which took place in June (more information available here).
Speakers will include Action Leaders from the relevant UAEU Partnerships and representatives from ICLEI Europe and the Slovenian Ministries of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure.
The goal of this November webinar is to explore how the EUKN's suggested analysis approach for the UAEU 'green actions' delivered by the UAEU partnerships, inspired by the clustering exercise performed by the 2019 Finnish Council Presidency and DG REGIO, could enhance the engagement of Member States and the EU level in their further implementation.
The event is the second in a series of EUKN activities for Slovenia in the run-up to the Presidency in 2021. These activities will eventually lead to a set of concrete recommendations advising ministers how to implement UAEU actions that aim to help cities overcome the regulatory obstacles they often face when trying to achieve environmental goals.
