Trained as a sustainable development practitioner and urban researcher, Federica holds a MSc in Environment and Sustainable Development from University College London's Bartlett Development Planning Unit and a BA in PPE from LUISS Guido Carli. Throughout her academic and professional journey, Federica has worked at the interface between action-research, participatory planning and sustainable urbanisation, engaging with complex and interconnected realities such us everyday urban risks and informality, refugees and migrants integration, inclusive city-making, global environmental justice and climate adaptation commitments and their translation at the regional/local level in Europe and Africa.
She has contributed to participatory action and cooperation initiatives in countries such as the United Kingdom, Portugal, Peru, Brazil, and South Africa both within academia and the non-governmental sector. Experienced researcher, she also has experience in programme management in the UN and in consultancy for international organisations such as the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) and Coffey Int. Dev. Ltd.
